If you often have to attend online calls (VoIP), most likely you’ve noticed that the audio/video quality is not always stable, and can vary widely depending on the platform used. These platforms want their calls to be as high in quality as possible, but how can the quality be measured and how can we define good quality? We need a way to directly compare the audio and video quality across different calls or even between various platforms.

Over the past month, our primary focus has been on fixing bugs (you can check our Wiki for details on those), however, we do also have some new functionality to offer - the ability to apply labels not just to tests, but to test runs as well, as well as some other improvements.

The Loadero team has decided to ease the burden of choosing between testing tools by writing a comparison review about Loadero and LoadNinja. The month of October has brought with it multiple notable changes, such as the ability to filter tests by their labels, as well as use UUID generation packages in Loadero test scripts. Additionally, the Nightwatch.js built-in command saveScreenshot() can now be used in Loadero scripts. Read about each of these changes in detail below!

Deprecation warning for Loadero API: after 01.07.2024. participant and run_participant responses will no longer contain a “media_type” field. If your usage of Loadero is dependent on the expectation that this field will be present, then we suggest removing this dependency in the near future.
