Do attractive things work better? Some say they do, and for good reason. According to a widely cited Stanford research study, 94% of first impressions are design related. Visually appealing designs have the remarkable ability to influence user perception and make it easier for people to find solutions to the problems they encounter. This is a testament to the power of design in shaping the user experience.

When you look at stories of great success like these, emotionally it’s tempting to feel like these companies just got the “unfair” advantage – that lucky, elusive edge that set them apart and put them ahead of their competition and into the hearts of their customers. But often, it is something else… In my role as Chief Strategy Officer at Qlik, I have been looking at this more formally with my team.

This year’s Qlik Connect was officially my 10th Qlik annual user conference… From Qonnections to Qlik World to Qlik Connect, you could assume I have seen it all already, but I can honestly say that this one was the best (and most fun!) yet. But don’t take my word for it. The buzz from our wonderful community of Qlik partners and customers speaks for itself.

As I reflect (although a better word would maybe recover) on the incredible experience at Qlik Connect in sunny Orlando, I am filled with excitement and pride. This year’s event was particularly special because it was our first opportunity to showcase the expanded Qlik portfolio, including our robust data foundation, Qlik Talend Cloud, and Qlik Answers, our all-new knowledge assistant that delivers personalized, relevant answers to questions generated from a variety of unstructured data sources.

In 2006, a revolutionary data solution emerged from France: Talend Studio. Over the years, it has become the worldwide industry standard in Data Transformation, Big Data, Application Integration, and API low-code design. Fast forward to 2023/2024, and Talend Studio proudly serves over 10,000 unique users worldwide.
