The world of Data Integration continues to evolve at a rapid pace, and Qlik has evolved along with it at equal pace, starting with acquisitions of Podium, Attunity, and now Talend, Qlik’s Data Integration and Quality solutions are a formidable force to have in your toolkit when you are looking to modernise data engineering in your organisation.

Imagine a world where ALL your data works for you. We’ve already seen remarkable things happen with structured data at Qlik. Our associative engine was crafted to handle structured data in an exceptional way. Calculating, processing, and associating tabular data with precision. But here’s the catch: 80% of the world’s data is unstructured, and Forrester predicts this amount will double this year.

Data is the key to better decision-making. Organizations diligently collect vast amounts of data, building data lakes and warehouses to unify it all. The promise is clear - To convert all this data into actionable insights and drive tangible business results. But the reality? Transforming data into actionable domain-specific intelligence and tangible business outcomes remains challenging.

Last month at our Qlik Connect conference, I outlined a vision for combining the best of Qlik Data Integration, Talend, and Stitch to deliver market-leading data integration and quality solutions for your AI, analytics, and operational initiatives. The reception was overwhelmingly positive, and the live demonstrations generated huge excitement. Therefore, I am happy to share the news that Qlik Talend Cloud is now generally available (GA)!

Besides a few initiatives, global efforts to address the unprecedented challenges and opportunities presented by AI remain fragmented. The recent "AI Safety Summit" provided a crucial opportunity to emphasize the importance of international perspectives to fully tap into AI's potential. It has helped guide the conversation around responsible AI development and governance, ensuring the benefits of AI are maximized while mitigating its risks.

Do attractive things work better? Some say they do, and for good reason. According to a widely cited Stanford research study, 94% of first impressions are design related. Visually appealing designs have the remarkable ability to influence user perception and make it easier for people to find solutions to the problems they encounter. This is a testament to the power of design in shaping the user experience.

When you look at stories of great success like these, emotionally it’s tempting to feel like these companies just got the “unfair” advantage – that lucky, elusive edge that set them apart and put them ahead of their competition and into the hearts of their customers. But often, it is something else… In my role as Chief Strategy Officer at Qlik, I have been looking at this more formally with my team.

This year’s Qlik Connect was officially my 10th Qlik annual user conference… From Qonnections to Qlik World to Qlik Connect, you could assume I have seen it all already, but I can honestly say that this one was the best (and most fun!) yet.
