Custom Exceptions in Ruby: Classes, Messages & Hierarchies

To create a custom exception in Ruby, define a class that inherits from StandardError: class PaymentError < StandardError; end. Raise it with raise PaymentError, "card declined" and rescue it by class. Inherit from StandardError, not Exception, so a bare rescue still catches it. Pass a default message by overriding initialize and calling super. Ruby’s built-in exception classes describe the language’s failure modes, not your application’s.

Hot Sauce Releases - Virtual Device Cloud

Ep 94 | Why Successful AI Models Can Still Fail the Business

An AI project can deliver a great prediction and still fail the business. Rajesh Kelvalkar has seen it happen firsthand. In one mining project, the model worked, but the team discovered that the downstream business process wasn’t configured to act consistently on its recommendations. The technology had done its job, but the transformation hadn’t. Recorded at EVOLVE26 Singapore, this episode of The AI Forecast brings Paul Muller together with Rajesh Kelvalkar, Senior Advisor at Tech Data APJ, to explore what more than 20 years of transformation work has taught him about putting AI into practice.

Tricentis Data Integrity: Validate your data. Trust every decision.

In this video, Adnan walks through why data testing is a business problem, not just a data problem, and how Tricentis Data Integrity automates data validation end-to-end so you can trust every decision you make.

What Are iOS App Clips? How They Work for iPhone Apps #iOSDevelopment #AppClips

What are iOS App Clips? They are lightweight versions of an iPhone app built for one specific action, such as ordering, paying, or booking. Users can open an App Clip from a link, QR code, NFC tag, Maps, or Messages. They can complete one useful action without searching the App Store, installing the full app, or going through a long signup and onboarding flow. App Clips reduce friction and give people a quick way to try an iOS product before downloading the complete app.

BrowserStack vs. TestComplete: Which automation tool fits your stack?

Every QA team carries a list of things it hasn’t gotten to yet, and that list tends to grow at about the same rate as the application portfolio. There are more tests to automate than there is time to write them, coverage that stops short of the applications nobody wants to touch, and workflows that have stayed manual long enough to become part of how the team works. Automation chips away at that list without ever quite emptying it, because the constraint is rarely how fast the existing tests run.
