API World 2025: Growth, Memories, and Next Steps

A couple of weeks ago, our team returned from API World. We’ve officially had a few weeks to decompress and get back into the swing of things after an incredible time at API World 2025. Looking back, the experience was even more rewarding than I had imagined in my Pre-API World blog. This year was especially memorable for me, as I had the opportunity to attend my first tech conference and travel across the country for work. I’m still buzzing from everything I learned and the people I met.

20 years of Rails deployments at RailsConf

Today, we're going to have a little history lesson for those of you who haven't been around since forever, but for those of you who have been around since forever, hopefully this will be a nostalgia fest. Inside AWS Summit NYC 2025: Accelerating the next wave of AI innovation

I had the opportunity to attend the AWS Summit New York 2025 at the iconic Jacob Javits Center in July. The event brought together thousands of cloud enthusiasts, developers, and business leaders to explore the latest in generative AI, cloud innovation, and real-world applications across industries. From major announcements and product launches to immersive sessions and after-hours networking, the Summit delivered both inspiration and insight.

From Data to Insight Activation: Key Takeaways from Data Summit 2025

Every year, Data Summit attracts data professionals to Boston for three days to exchange ideas and innovation. In 2025, the event was dedicated to data management trends, Big Data, business intelligence (BI), analytics, as well as emerging innovation in AI and machine learning. At the Data Summit, Sami Akbay, insightsoftware’s Head of Data Analytics Projects, hosted a session on the evolution of BI, the rise of generative AI, and the shift toward insight-driven workflows.

The post-hype reality for developers

Devoxx Poland 2025 felt different. Not because of revolutionary new frameworks or another "this changes everything" moment, but because of what didn't happen. The conference had an unusual dose of pragmatism, skepticism, and – dare we say it – common sense. Maybe it's because developers are asking the right questions: "Does this solve a problem?" and "What happens when this inevitably breaks?" Here's what emerged from the sessions we watched, and the people we spoke to.

API Developer Day with Kong Insomnia and Kong Konnect

Build, run, discover, and govern your APIs as part of an automated pipeline Insomnia isn't just a powerful API client — it's a part of the larger Kong Konnect platform for managing the overall lifecycle of your APIs: build, run, discover, and govern. During this event, we’ll utilize a design first approach to building a REST API. We’ll leverage Kong Insomnia to design and test this API and then use Kong Konnect to secure and expose this API for consumption. Finally, we’ll follow APIops best practices and implement end-to-end automation over the entire API lifecycle.

Confluent Current 2025 highlights

Current 2025 featured two days of engineers figuring out how streaming tech needs to evolve in an AI-driven world. Gone are the days when talks focused on basic Kafka setup. This year, everyone was tackling complex integrations, developer happiness, and practical AI implementation. Still, the event drew a range of people, with plenty of new faces stopping by the Lenses.io booth – clear evidence that Kafka and data streaming continue to attract newcomers.
