Last week, our friends at Amazon hosted the 10th annual AWS re:Invent conference at the always-exciting Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. The ChaosSearch team was out in full post-Covid force and felt the incredible energy and enthusiasm as the conference returned to an in-person format for the first time since 2019. Our team of Chaosians stayed busy in the buzzing expo hall and attending conference talks so we could be first to hear about every new AWS service announcement, feature launch, and innovation.

At Talend Connect 2021, we dove deep into what data health really means (clean, compliant, accessible data), what thorny business problems are solved by having healthy data, and what inspirational companies we can look to as an example. Most importantly, we learned the incredible difference that healthy data can make not only in business, but in the world. We had an incredible lineup of guest speakers, keynotes, specialists, and panelists discussing every aspect of data health and its impact.

This week, ThoughtSpot gathered virtually with thousands of global customers, partners, and friends to share our vision for the future of analytics at Beyond 2021. A future where everyone in your business can create personalized insights and operationalize them to drive smarter business actions. And where innovative brands like Snowflake, Starbucks, Just Eat Takeaway, and Opendoor are already building their businesses on data with the Modern Analytics Cloud.

Ably was the delegate sponsor at GopherCon UK this year and we had a great time. The conference was held in The Brewery, London. For many of our team members it was the first physical developer event they had been to in almost two years. Whilst I am thrilled to be returning to face-to-face interaction and the depth of conversation they enable, I certainly forgot how early a start physical events are.

KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America is just around the corner. I’ve been looking forward to this event for a long time, especially since 2020 was virtual and it looks like there will be an in person option this year. This should be a great event and there are going to be a ton of awesome sessions. Last year was simply enormous with over 15K attendees who joined virtually.

So many announcements, so many surprises and a seemingly never-ending list of impactful customer stories! After two and a half days packed with fun and learning, we bid farewell to Kong Summit for another year. Today at Kong Summit, we are thrilled to announce several new products, features and capabilities across our entire service connectivity platform with the goal of making service connectivity as invisible and easily consumable as electricity. These updates include making the Kong Istio Gateway integration generally available and debuting Insomnia Projects. We’re excited to share them with you all.

We are now deep into our most anticipated event of the year, Kong Summit 2021 (there’s still time to register for Day 2!). More than 4,000 people have registered from 87 countries for the virtual event. After a full day of knowledge and surprises, we are excited to recap the most memorable moments from today.
